An introduction and explanation of the Simple Rating System can be found at the start of my GW17 article.
Let’s start by going over GW28 predictions and results:

9/11 correct predictions. Boom! The model keeps on going. If you’re paying attention, you’ll notice that the changes in the individual team ratings are becoming very marginal. This is very good and helps to explain the consistency in latest GWs predictions. All of the predictions were extremely close even in terms of the margin, really love to see that.
2/3 correct recommendations. Carbone did jack shit, but boy did the other 2 deliver. Berko straight in with an assist, cs and 2 bns (unfortunately, I went with Scowcroft last minute). Balaban with a goal and MoM rounded up an amazing GW.

GW29 Predictions:
Finally, a regular GW with hopefully less chips thrown in the air. We have very interesting predictions this week. Let’s take a closer look on 3 of them. I won’t be recommending RvN but you know how I feel about him.
First player to recommend this week is Ronald De Boer. Blackburn has the highest predicted margin this week with 2! Together with the leak we had from our scout I am backing Ronald to haul and supply some assists to his trio upfront.
Second player to recommend this week is Michael Owen. Owen hasn’t exactly banged since his return, but he is getting back his fitness, and I back him to score against a dodgy away Chelsea defense.
Third player to recommend is Simo Valakari. Many have probably sold him already after his amazing TGW. However, he is now facing Lei at home, and with their new manager we already know Lei are going to open the match. Valakari to repay for his owners’ loyalty.
